Real-time playable environment made inside UE4 over the course of a few months. This is my first stylised environment created from start to finish (Take that folder full of WIPs!). There were many challenges along the way, most notably how I would handle the water and the canopy, and how lighting would affect these and the rest of my level. The entire scene is dynamically lit and fully playable! (https://eriction.itch.io/forestgrove) Everything was made by me, mostly in a Zbrush > Maya > Substance > UE4 pipeline. Most materials derive from a singular master material with static switch parameters, with exceptions for more advanced materials such as water, grass, etc. Amongst other things, the scene was heavily inspired by Zelda Wind Waker and BOTW, WoW (Ashenvale!!), and Princess Mononoke!
